Not A Miracle

So the Americans got Saddam Hussein. It came as a surprise indeed. I never believed they would manage to get him or Osama Bin Laden.

Because (some) Americans all over the web are hailing up their "God Bless Our Predators!" banners again. I'm here to give you some glory in return.

Not because I hate America. Not because I have anything against spirituality. Not because I dont have any sympathy for a soldiers family. Not because I want to lecture. Not because I'm a crack smoking hippie.

I'll tell you why:
1. Because I'm not an American.
2. Because God is not my excuse.
3. Because the world is bigger than patriotism.
4. Because words should be linked with creativity.
5. Because I'm a Pacifist.

Let me explain from 1 to 5.
1. Well, with my terrible english skills it should be obvious by now, that I am a sick fuck from Europe. That never cared to pay much attention in the language classes. And here, not even the Nazis agrees with the American government.

2. I cant remember that I was any God's witness, so I wouldn't bet my luck on him. And I wouldn't take his word for it. I'm not about to haul off to God, whenever humanity expose it's unpleasant sides. If your God gave you his planet, ask yourself on a day when you manage to outshine your littleness; -"What can I give God in return? To show that I appreciate what he gave me."... I will never believe that any supernatural being, will ever promote the basic human attitude. It's simply not logical. And the God Blessing in war times, are clearly an excuse, for not daring to face the problems about our human race.

3. The whole world matters more than one country. It's more valuable than your flags, your beliefs, your pride and your culture. My morality is; I will be patriotic to my head and my heart, not to my country! I feel so, because I do not agree with everything that my country stands for. If you let a country shape your morality about things that involves, or doesn't involve you, you dont necessarily come off as a thinking individual. It's perfectly possible to support the people, without agreeing with the government.

4. When it comes to creativity with words. Instead of saying -"God Bless America!", try "People Bless America!". Or -"Lets try clean up our own shit before daddy comes home!". You can also raise your voice with -"Bless the God that always agrees with me!" Put this on banners all over the web -"Things are so glittery red white and blue in heaven!".

5. Because Gandhi made peace without guns.

Dont let me fool you. Hussein was obviously a bad guy, I'm aware of that. But the American ways are really not much better. History tells us, that we are all, the same. If Hussein should go to trial for his crimes, then it's only right, that a few Americans should also go to trial for their crimes in war times.

Powerful creatures in our planetary system, are known for promising a whole lot of wonders. Some of them are called presidents, others are called prime ministers or gods. I like to call them instruments, that are very often not properly chosen or used.

The bitter thing about humanity, is that someone always have to "win" and "lose". The rule is to play for winning and the winner is often just a bad as the loser. But people love the immaturity to hailing, to salutation. It's always; -"Who won?", "did we make it?". It's rarely, -"What happended to them?", -"to him?", -"to her?". To win for the masses matters more than the simple individual.

Lets hope that the rest of the American and English soldiers arrive home safely. So they can have the rest of their life, to think about the things they did in Iraq.

This Is Not America
By David Bowie

A little piece of you
The little peace in me
Will die
For this is not America

Blossom falls to bloom
This season
Promise not to stare
Too long
For this is not a miracle

There was a time
A storm that blew so pure
For this could be the biggest sky
And I could have
The faintest idea

Snowman melting
From the inside
Falcon spirals
To the ground
So bloody red
Tomorrows clouds

A little piece of you
The little piece in me
Will die
For this is not America

There was a time
A wind that blew so young
For this could be the biggest sky
And I could have the faintest idea

This could be the biggest sky
This could be a miracle
This could be...
