We burn churces and eat whales in Norway, isn't it cool?... maybe not... Anyway, I'm not really a fan of the Norwegian church, as much as I'm not against it. I mean, -not everyone are Christians here, so it's only fair that we should separate it from politics and remove the Church that is now driven by the state of Norway...
I'm not either really against killing whales, as long as the race itself isn't threatened. I have even tasted whale meat myself (It tasted leather and because of that I would'nt want to eat it again). My opinion is that the whale is more or less a free animal, we kill it to eat it, not to wear it's skin. There are a lot of animals that have never been free, that are killed only for profit and what some people call "beauty". Another example is the pig, unlike the whale and the wolf, the pig doesn't symbolize anything we consider to be special, or unique and therefor it seems to be less interesting to support.
If we really want the animal rights to be fair, should'nt we consider all animals? even the ones they use for entertainment purposes only, at the circus and zoo? Or is just animal rights for some people a cool and fun thing to get into, because the whales are so big and intellectual and the wolf are so fairytale alike, horses are pretty to some, pigs are not... It's something to think about...
