You dont have to search very deep to find a reason to dislike the MTV of today, I'll give you one right here. I have expressed my love for this music channel in the past. They used to be good, they used to be cool and creative. In the 80's. They used to respect different music tastes. Nowadays they almost only play childish commercial pop music. I would not hate this kind of music if they would only play other kinds of styles a little more often. I remember I once saw an interview with these Spice Girls women. They were asked questions about what they thought about people that hated their music. They replied by saying; -"Why cant they just change the channel when we are on". Haven't we tried that people? We change channel and we just end up seeing these people in the news, in the Pepsi commercials between the programs. Why do they say that this is not about the cash? Why do they say it's about the music and the passion for creativity, when these kind of people dont even create what they are there to perform. It's not the music I dislike, it's their extreme ways they use to pop up in your face everywhere you look. They remind you of the religious people that ring your doorbell in the middle of the dinner. I mean dont they have any shame? It's like the pornography or free stuff pop ups that freeze your computer, when you enter some sites on the web. Yoy would be quite stupid if it never crossed your mind, that these people desperately needs attention and they want to sell it for any prize. I understand why someone would use singers such as Celine Dion, because I cant sing like her and most people cant. I would'nt buy her music, but when I hear her voice and understand that she fits to what she's doing. I didn't want this entry to turn out aggressive. I really just wanted to post the link about this article I read. I have done that, so I want to end this now...
One last thing; Girl power is stupid! It's just as stupid as man power. If we should respect eatch other, no one should be in charge. Why did these Spice Girls women talk about girl power?, when all they ever were had been created by men. They obviously did it because they were stupid and didn't know anything about the old femenism. I am not a hardcore feminist, but I could always agree with a lot of it's issues. It's however people like the Spice Girls that make femenism seem like a stupid naive blow up doll that wants to run the circus from the monkey cage. These things doesn't really matter, because I assume that most people can see this. Women are no better than men, we all have our faults and the errors of men are often linked to the errors of women. It's very common however, to blaim everyone else for the negative things around us. In my eyes; we should all understand that we all play a role in it...
Today we can buy a new MTV, called MTV2 I believe. It's supposed to be more alternative music in it. I would love to see if they acctually play jazz, classical or dark scandinavian Black Metal on it. Who gives a shit. They obviously see a gold mine in us that dont follow the mainstream as well. A new channel, a good idea. "Lets cut the pop from the rock, because it's not like they are both music styles" -they say... It's no mystery why the different cultures in this world are so separated...
